This kitchen had a good open layout and an island in the right spot. Everything else looked dated: honey oak cabinets, busy granite, amber pendants and white tile. The layout stayed the same and nearly every surface changed.

Island rebuilt with a fluted dark base and a light gray veined top
Speckled granite replaced with light gray veined countertops
Herringbone marble-look backsplash and a tiled range hood
Amber glass pendants replaced with brass pendants with ribbed glass shades
White floor tile replaced with light wood-look plank flooring
New wall ovens in the same opening
